We only met Kim and David the night of their wedding at the Montelucia in Scottsdale, but honestly, they seem like two of the nicest people you could know. What we gathered from the speeches was that these two have been lovebirds for-ev-er! So sweet! Not only did our sister company LittleOwl Letterpress have the honor of working with the couple to letterpress their invitations, menus, programs and table numbers, but we also got to work with our dear friend Jen with Imoni Events!

The booth was right up front by the dance floor so we saw a lot of action! We were pleasantly surprised that the older folks joined in on the photobooth opportunities early on! It always makes the night more special when you can look back at grandma and grandpa (even great aunts and uncles!) wearing big goofy glasses and holding up mustaches to join in your wedding celebration! Thanks David and Kim for a great night! Cheers to a lifetime of happiness!

A couple weekends ago we took another long trek out with the booth. This time to celebrate Jess and Dan's wedding at The Windmill Winery in Florence! The ceremony outside on the property was just gorgeous. Right after the ceremony ended guests were treated to some hors d'oeuvres as they made their way into the mid-west barn for the reception. As the evening went on the staff had a bonfire going in another area of the property for guests to enjoy. We are so glad we could be a part of their wedding reception and help capture some great moments in the booth! Congratulations to the both of you!

Becky and Anthony's wedding at The Four Seasons in Scottsdale was fantastic! We were inside the ballroom that was set up with a lounge type atmosphere. Tall lamps with purple lampshades dominated some of the tables, the lights were turned down low, and a few couches added to the mix. Desserts and a late-night snack was brought in as the guests danced to the live band and took pictures with us. We loved working with Jen at Imoni Events and all the Four Seasons staff! Have you ever been to a wedding at Johnson Ranch off the Hunt Highway? We've been to a lot of locations, but nothing quite as far as this one! Yes, the drive was a bit out there, but definitely worth it! The folks at Johnson Ranch were great to work with and the entire ceremony and reception set-up was fantastic. Right after the ceremony the bridal party took off in golf carts for a few pics out on the course. So cute!

We briefly met Sarah and Kevin towards the end of the evening when they got in the booth. Both of them just seem like the kind of people you could become friends with in an instant! The guests were so fun to work with and everyone seemed to be having a great time! At the end of the night the bride and groom ran out to a sweet ride between guests holding sparklers. Congratulations Sarah and Kevin - many years of happiness to you!

Sherwood Anniversary

Lindsay and Kevin celebrated their wedding reception at Troon Country Club in Scottsdale a few weekends back. It was so fun setting up at a new venue for our latest wedding! Every place is so different and it's great when the staff are super helpful and accommodating! The speeches from the wedding party were fantastic and the bride's father-daughter dance with her four uncles brought a tear to our eyes. We enjoyed meeting many of the guests who made their way through the booth, including Lindsay and Kevin who were so fun to work with! Congratulations you two!!

Amy and Cliff's wedding was gorgeous and we are so glad we got to be a part of it all. Every guest was having a fabulous time, especially with some of the props out on the dance floor! We could tell that all of the hard work and planning that went into this wedding truly paid off. This was our third trip to the DC Ranch County Club with the booth and we love it more and more each time! We also got to work with one of our favorite photographers again, Stephanie Fay Motte!

Last Saturday we drove the booth out to Gold Canyon Golf Resort where Tamara and Brian were getting married. We knew it was going to be a great night when each member of the wedding party was introduced to the guests with a bio written by the newlyweds. The entire room was laughing at their cleverly written introductions. The fun and laughs continued all night! This was a fantastic bunch of people to be around. Congratulations Tamara and Brian!

We love going to new wedding venues! This time we took the booth to the Four Seasons Resort in Scottsdale. It was quite a trek out to the hotel, but well worth it. The desert scenery was just gorgeous and made quite a backdrop from the outside deck at the reception.

We met and talked with lots of family and friends in from out of town as our booth pictures were printing. It sounded like the big ticket activity was the jeep tour. The only downside- the 100+ degree heat. Every guest though seemed to be having a great time that night, whether it was posing in the booth, boogeying out on the dance floor, or taping a wedding interview with the videographer.

Wedding season in Arizona is starting up again! After some pretty hot months here the ball has started rolling again! We love this time of year!!

We visited the Scottsdale Resort & Conference Center to help Kaitlyn and Matt celebrate their wedding night. Hearing their love story - the meeting, falling in love, asking her dad for permission, and proposal - was super sweet. Besides the amazing cake surrounded in peacock feathers (loved it!), the bride and groom amazingly had both sets of grandparents attending- more than 200 years of marriage among them! Congratulations Kaitlyn and Matt!

Elanna's Bat Mitzvah

We made another trip to DC Ranch with the booth a couple weekends ago for our first Bat Mitzvah! It's a bit of a drive from where we are, but the desert scenery is so beautiful out there. When we showed up with the booth at the DC Ranch Country Club the preparations for the party were already well underway. Not only did Elanna's family have our photobooth, but a DJ and tattoo artist as well. Family and friends participated in a sand ceremony and everyone watched a sweet photo slide show made by Elanna's family. At the very end of the evening a candy station was brought out with every sort of delectable treat you could imagine! Thanks for a great evening!

It is so fantastic to work with a bride who is low stress and just so super nice! We've been super lucky the last few gigs to work with some amazing brides who just exude happiness. Tiffany is one of those people. She walked in with her bridal party and quietly took charge moving things here, unloading stuff there. Tiffany even took the time to come over, introduce herself, and ask us how we were doing!

We came back right towards the end of the ceremony to get the booth started up and I had a chance to peek out the windows of The Wright House and watch as Brandon and his groomsmen serenaded Tiffany with a song. So sweet! All of the guests were awesome to work with as well. One group tried to set the record for number of guests inside. Did they make it?!

It's so much fun to do a photobooth gig at a wedding where you actually know the bride and groom and some of the guests too! It seemed like we were waiting only 10 minutes before we had our first couple making their way into the booth to start the night! Later on in the evening Jessica and Nate arranged for late-night hors d'oeuvres (grilled cheese and sliders) to be served! What a great idea! Thanks Jess and Nate for a fun time! A wedding with Wilma and Wilbur Wildcat. Need I say more?!

This past weekend we had the opportunity to be a part of Nikki and Patrick's wedding at The Raven Golf Club at South Mountain. Also, included in their day were the U of A mascots. Why? Patrick was a U of A cheerleader and Nikki surprised him by bringing in the mascots after the bride and groom's grand entrance to their reception. Patrick had no idea! The Wildcat mascots danced with guests for a bit, hung out at different tables, and even took a few photos in the booth. Nikki and Patrick are two of the nicest people you'll meet. The couple did a great job planning ways to involve their guests every step of the evening; from the dismissal of tables for the buffet to the garter toss! They really took the time to make sure all of their guests were having a great time. Thanks for including us in your special day! Congratulations again!

WHEAT's Fair Trade Festival

Saturday, March 13th we brought the booth to central Phoenix for a fair trade festival sponsored by WHEAT, the World Hunger Eduacation, Advocacy & Training organization, to celebrate World Fair Trade Day. Different groups of people from all over Arizona were part of the event selling their goods and services to festival attendees. WHEAT is an amazing organization that is working to end world hunger by advocating and empowering individuals. Two of their programs are the Clothes Silo, a resale boutique with women's clothing, and the Hand to Hand Project, a retail store filled with merchandise goodies from around the world. If you can't make it in to these two stores you can always make a donation online! We had a great time meeting different vendors and talking with folks visiting our photobooth!

Added bonus- we had a chance to wear our t-shirts with our new logo! Here's David with a view of the front!

We had a fantastic time at Sarah and Luke's wedding at the San Marcos Hotel in downtown Chandler. We actually met this couple over a year ago when they called and wanted to book us. It was spring of 2009 and they were calling to reserve a date in March 2010! Talk about a bride who knows what she wants and is on top of things!! Arizona Heart Walk

This past Saturday (February 27) we brought the photobooth out to Tempe Beach Park for the Arizona Heart Walk. There were tons of people that came together to walk the 1-3 mile path to help raise money to save lives from heart disease and stroke. It was really empowering to see all the different age groups walking for a great cause.

Barbarann and Daniel's wedding was super fun! It was held on a golf course in Fountain Hills- we just love going to new locations with the booth! Daniel's sister-in-law, Tracey, connected us with the bride and groom for this gig. (Tracey was a bridesmaid in our very first photobooth gig!) Barbarann and Daniel's wedding date was pushed up and everyone involved did a great job getting things ready so quickly. It looked like family and friends had a great time. The class of '99 reunion committee scrambled to find a location for their 10-year reunion after their first venue didn't work out. The reunion ended up at Pier 54 in Tempe and turned out fantastic. David and I had a great time at our latest photobooth gig Halloween night. Not only were the bride and groom fantastic hosts, but we got to work with two of our favorite people, Stephanie and Stephen Motte with Stephanie Fay Photography. Andrea and Noah actually eloped the year before and were finally enjoying their wedding day with family and friends. David and I met Stephanie randomly. My sister had picked up her information (among others) at the Phoenix Bridal Expo two years ago. After looking through packets, cd's and business cards, my sister and I searched websites looking at the style of the few that made the cut. Something about Stephanie's work just stood out. Long story short- David and I met Steph, loved her, had lots in common, and cut her the check to do our wedding. Our photos she took were amazing and we had so much fun with her. We met Stephen after the two got engaged and could tell they were just perfect together. David and I were so excited to be able to return the favor and give Stephanie and Stephen fun shots of their families and friends on the day that started their new life together! Congratulations!

Kyle & Kerri took weddings to a whole new level a few weekends ago! Our photobooth was one of the attractions at their carnival themed wedding. We celebrated the last weekend in May by spending time at a high school graduation party! While the party was more of an "open house" many people stayed for quite a while and enjoyed themselves. Rhiannon's mom, Julie, did all the cooking and it was beyond wonderful! She works for Rendez-vous Catering, a part of Coup des Tartes French Bistro in Central Phoenix. We had a fantastic time at the party and wished all of our photobooth gigs went so well!

Jared and Shanda's wedding and reception at the Fiesta Resort in Tempe was fantastic! When the newlyweds sealed their vows with their first kiss every guest loudly cheered. The reception got started inside and the guests began trickling in to the photobooth. Our new whiteboards with handles were not a secret for long as many guests used them to write funny quotes and memories. Jared and Shanda made their way into the booth and greeted both of us as if we'd been friends for years, even though it was our first time meeting face-to-face. A few weeks ago we brought the booth to a backyard wedding in North Phoenix. The ceremony and reception was held at the grooms parent's house. Everyone did a fantastic job transforming the area from a well-kept backyard to a beautiful wedding spot! As we walked in to begin setting up we noticed the pictures for the couple's "Save the Dates" were created in a photobooth. We knew this would be a great group of people to spend a Friday night with!

EPG Christmas Party

Brrr! Our booth was set up outside on a patio at Skye in Peoria in late December. There was a small fireplace on the patio, but it didn't give off much heat. The picture taking pace started off a bit slow as we were contending with a band playing and warmth inside. Luckily, as the night wore on the group from EPG didn't seem to mind the cold as much! In fact, when we finally called it a night an hour after our contracted time we had to turn some people away. We had so much fun and the staff at Skye were great!

DLR Group Christmas Party

It's a lot of fun to go to so many different places for parties. This last Christmas get-together was at Gainey Ranch. The spot picked out for the booth was perfect- right inside the main entrance where folks checked in and close enough to hear the music the live band played. While people mingled and got their drinks they began meandering over our way. This group got started right away with the props! It was a very relaxed Christmas party and everyone was having a great time, including us! We could tell these guys enjoy working with each other.

CFD Christmas Party

CFD found us on craigslist and asked us to be part of their annual Christmas soiree. Their Christmas themed party? Circus! How fun! We set up at the Mondrian Hotel in Scottsdale. Our booth was one of the attractions of the night along with a belly dancer, fire eater, tarot card reader, and more! This was our longest "gig" yet, but the night flew by! Everyone at CFD looked like they had a great time. We're so glad we were able to join you for the night!

Tatum's Birthday

How fun to be turning 13 and having a co-ed party! It was great to see the guys try on all the props in the beginning and then go in the other room to "hang out". The girls (of course) loved finding different combinations of props to use before going into the booth together. We're so glad we could join the fun and help Tatum's mom and dad preserve the memories of her entrance into the teenage world!

This was our second event and second wedding. David and I had a lot of fun at the reception and we could tell the guests were enjoying themselves as well. At first people were a little hesitant to get in the booth, not knowing what it was and how it all worked. After a few brave guests tried it out (and lived!) the line became 15 deep at times! We loved James and Renee's Elvis style grand entrance - very cute idea! Thanks for letting us be a part of your big day!

Katie and I had the opportunity to work the Siegel-Gavigan wedding over the weekend. I know Sarah from business school in college, and there were plenty of UA grads in attendance! The night was amazing, they did a great job with the setup and the bride and groom both looked great! We got some awesome shots with the booth. It mostly started with pairs using the booth, but the spirit of family kicked in and soon we had groups of 5-7 taking their turns. Wow, these past few weeks have just flown by! Katie and I had an amazing wedding day, an awesome honeymoon in Europe, and now we're still trying to catch our breath. I've been working to get the webpage up and running for Picture This. We're almost done! Next I've got to get all of the pictures from the wedding night booth up on Pictage. They should be up soon. Tons of awesome pictures, but this one just made me crack up. The view window of the picture spans roughly 3.5ft to 6.5 feet. Apparently this little one didnt meet the requirements, but still managed to take a very unique serious of pictures. Check it out!

Man, getting everything up and running is a pain. The booth required a lot of configuration to make the software run the way I wanted it to. It took longer than expected to construct the booth too! A big thanks to Tom Fink for all of his help with the build. If anyone needs custom woodwork done in Phoenix, he is the man and I'll recommend him to anyone!
